My most favourite statement when anyone asks me about photography is, "I am an amateur." I have not been professionally trained, and I do not want to claim that I have been; photography is my passion and I describe myself as picture-taker.

I do love my day job but photography is also emotionally very rewarding. To capture the real moments in life, a sparkle in the eyes, a silly laughter, a face that expresses pure happiness. By recording one tiny little moment that might be forgotten otherwise I can bring smiles to faces for years to come.

My style of photography is casual and un-posed. Now and then I am arranging "photo shoots" to learn about lighting and compositions. For wedding projects I try to tell a story with my camera and therefore try to be an unobtrusive observer, capturing moments as they come and go. Emotions that make us smile, emotions that make us cry.

Anaïs Nin said, "We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are." And my sister paid me once a wonderful compliment; after looking through a bunch of photos she said that she felt that I really liked the people I had taken photos of.
