My huge linden tree always makes for a good sweeping workout – in spring the bud scales, in summer the blossoms, in autumn the leafs, in winter the fruits. However, autumn provides unlimited hours of workouts – I sweep the fallen leafs of the patio and by the time I reach the end of it and return to the patio door to store away the broom I can start all over again. One could call it a Sisyphus chore – but trying to stay on the positive side I call it my Zen meditation.
On the lawn I occasionally forego the quiet meditation and take to the mower which also speeds up the decomposing process.
