Part of the poolside furniture finally giving up on me, or actually in this case my brother-in-law, I had to invest in some new lounging furniture.
I was looking for some sturdy, not too heavy furniture which need not much maintenance. So definitely no wood this time. And some that didn’t break the bank. I really liked the Marietta Stahl-Liegeliege – SKLUM which has a nice side table available also.
Stumbling over Idaira verstellbare Sonnenliege aus Akazienholz – SKLUM I decided on some DIY and made a little back resting device out of the broken lounger and to match it to the new furniture I painted it the same colour. But now I didn’t like the look of my old Ikea wooden furniture at all any longer and had to invest in little money but considerable time to upgrade the rest of the furniture in the garden as well. I admit I have done a shabby job but still like the outcome very much. I just love the dark grey in midst all the greenery! And if I ever have my house to have repainted I think I might go for that very same colour as well. Dark grey makes for a fabulous background for all plants.
